  It was my first time here, although my friend have been here before. Based on their opinions, it appears that the quality of food and service has declined since a change of management. I ordered a big breakfast and enjoyed it though - had no problems with my food. Coffee was nice too.
  
  There was a bit of a wait, and it took a bit of time for them to notice us and take our orders - I did have to request one of the waitresses to take our order rather than her actively asking if we were ready to order.
  
  I'm not sure what her role was, but a lady by the name of Kelly who was on the coffees could do with a bit of customer service. I approached her to ask about the toilets and her replies were abrupt, unfriendly and unwelcoming. This was probably my biggest put off as working in customer service, I have certain expectations on the provision of customer service and Nelly's definitely fell flat.
  
  Apart from this, good coffee, nice location by the river, and (mostly) friendly staff. With some slight changes, it can definitely improve.

  This little cafe used to have good food. Service was always a bit slow when there was a large group, but it seems to have gone downhill since new owners took over last year. Went there for breakfast and ordered the Quinoa & Fresh Fruit with yoghurt. I have to say there was disproportionally more Quinoa than fresh fruit and yoghurt. My friends had cooked breakfasts, some of which were almost cold when they came out because the kitchen doesn't seem to be able to cope with cooking more than two or three meals at a time and plating them up for service. The scrambled eggs were a bit overdone and the avocado was hard, not ripe. The bacon looked good. They do a good iced coffee though.

  This place used to be lovely! Then it changed management and now it's not very nice at all.
  
  I find the staff members are on edge, not very friendly. We were the only customers and we had 3 people with wheelchairs, we had 1 coffee, 1 milkshake and 1 glass of juice. The staff refused to split the bill. The guys didn't have cash with them. It made things very difficult.
  
  If there would be a lot of people and we would have a complex order then I could understand.
  
  We used to go here a lot, now we do avoid going here. It's a shame because the location is very nice and it's the only coffee shop in the area.

  Lovely decor and location, great staff, good coffee, Dreadful Food!!!
  
  Recently had my sons 1st birthday there. We spent just over $400 for 12 guests! They weren't busy on the day. It's not enough to have good coffee, decor, and service; the food is well below average, and that's a deal breaker!
  
  We had prebooked 3 nights in advance, but they were out of burger buns!! They instead used large panini breads for tiny meat patties (most of our guests wanted a burger, and that's what they got!). The steak was dropping with blood, and chewy. The chewy bits had to be taken out of your mouth! The kids fried meals were soggy! A basic salad sandwich I ordered with tomatoes, came back with only avocado and lettuce! A fish burger came back with a disproportionately heavily battered oily fish. I could tell nobody enjoyed their meals! We should have gone to Grilled! I was very embarrassed about the food, as I was hoping they would nail these few basic meals!!!!
  
  The fried chips and coffee were good.
  The decor is nice.
  The staff are nice and helpful (but would help the business more in improving the meals).
  
  TIPS:
  The vegetarian menu option is too quaint, something simple would be better.
  Simplify your menu, most people just want burgers, chips, sandwiches, salads, lasagna, ordinary salad dressings, cakes, and coffee from a small cafe, such as this one!
  *Get a New Chef quickly!!!!

  We found this lovely spot on Groupon. We picked it because the small menu had choices that were things other than usual, boring Aussie fare. Also, the price was right.
  
  We had asparagus and haloumi salad and seafood chowder to start. Both were fresh and flavourful. For mains we had roast duck and poached salmon with onions and asparagus in broth. It's pretty hard to cook duck properly, but the young chef was spot on. Ditto on the salmon-cooked perfectly.
  
  Nelly, the manager, served us. She made us feel like guests in her home. Also, a friend of theirs was singing sweetly to some backing tracks.
  
  We will definitely be going back-great food cooked with love, friendly atmosphere, lovely spot by the river, new menu choices every month and DiBella coffee.
